Dr de Queiroz has over 20 years’ experience conducting field research and publishing in the fields of plant ecology, conservation science, and seed biology. She has expertise in plant ecology, environmental science, evolutionary biology, conservation biology, ecological restoration, wildland fire science, invasive species biology, ecological and demographic modeling, climate change, land use planning, endangered species assessment, marine biology, lichenology, and rare plant biology.

Dr de Queiroz has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed papers and has published as first author in Oecologia, Evolution, American Journal of Botany, Ecology and Evolution, Canadian Journal of Botany, Native Plants Journal, Natural Areas Journal, Rangeland Ecology and Management, Environmental Management, Plant Species Biology, and Arctic Antarctic and Alpine Research. She has been an invited speaker at the Society for Ecological Restoration annual meeting and the Society for Range Management annual meeting and has presented her research at meetings of the Botanical Society of America, the Ecological Society of America, and the Society for Ecological Restoration.

Dr de Queiroz has edited manuscripts for both students and colleagues. She currently edits for the School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, and she is adept at editing for clarity and flow in scientific works. She has also been a reviewer for Ecology, Oecologia, Ecological Monographs, Oikos, American Journal of Botany, Conservation Biology, Evolutionary Ecology, Restoration Ecology, Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research, Seed Science Research, Ecological Research, Rangeland Ecology and Management, Ecography, and Journal of Vegetation Science.
